Awen’s North America Hub: nine months of Intersect Community Hubs

From September 2024 to June 2025, Awen ran Intersect's North American Community Hub, the last of six regional hubs to launch and the one with the smallest USD budget. The program post-mortem, which we compiled for Intersect's Membership & Community Committee, shows what that budget produced.

What we did

We ran the hub for nine months on a $25,000 first-phase contract. In that time we:

  • Hosted 18 events and town halls, including monthly X Space town halls that drew up to 326 listeners.
  • Produced GM2025 in Fort Myers, the first DRep debate of 2025, with 44 people in the room, 22 online and more than 3,000 watching the livestream.
  • Ran the official Cardano side event at Consensus Toronto, with 501 registered, alongside Draper University, Sundial Protocol, Rare Network and Clay Nation.
  • Brought the Annual Members Meeting to Austin in October 2024.
  • Completed nine milestones, each signed off on an Intersect milestone acceptance form.
